Ingredients
• Dairy Essence cream cheese, softened 2 oz. capers, roughly chopped
• 1⁄4 cup finely chopped red onion
• 1 lemon, zested and juiced
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
• Rye toast points
• 6 oz. smoked salmon
Instructions
1. Combine Dairy Essence cream cheese, capers, red onion, lemon zest, juice, salt, and pepper. Spread on toast points; top with smoked salmon.
2. Whip cream cheese with the lemon juice and zest until soft and fluffy with a stand or hand mixer, about 5 minutes.
3. Now add the chopped salmon, salt, and pepper, and mix until the salmon is relatively incorporated.
4. Your spread is now ready to spread. Use it as a delicious sandwich filler, spread on a toasted bagel, or perhaps on your favorite crackers.
